In 1989, Sonja decided to try to make a few extra dollars at Christmas by baking her family’s traditional holiday treats and selling at a local craft show. What started out as a holiday project has grown into a full-fledged baking and confectionary business! Sonja and Mark still use time-honored family recipes handed down from their Scandinavian grandmothers as well as other tasty recipes picked up from Sonja’s travels around the world.

They make all of their cookies, candies and desserts in small batches in their commercial kitchen in rural North Dakota, using only the best ingredients. Sonja’s goodies are made with fresh butter, heavy cream and whole roasted nuts. Those Caramels taste just like the ones Grandma used to make!

Sonja and Mark also cater small local events and serve private parties.
